The Navigational Aid Performance Prediction Model (NPPM) from Avionic Engineering Center of Ohio University is adopted for predicting the performance of the localizer in this paper. This numerical way not only calculates the course structure in a short period of time, but also save the vast cost from flight inspection. ![]() This paper aims at the main reflector to cause the multipath effect of signal in space using the ILS performance simulator with real measurement data. This problem could seriously threat to flight safety in approach to landing. Flight inspection showed that the course structure couldn't comply with the C AT I standard. The multipath effect resulting from the structure roughness causes problem of the Localizer type Directional Aid (LDA) installed at Matsu Beigan Airport, Taiwan.
